Thermal Comfort Analysis of Art Centre Auditorium Utilizing R290 Refrigerant Chiller

Thermal comfort is an essential parameter for the well-being of occupants in buildings. This paper aims to analyze thermal a 400-person capacity-art center auditorium at Universitas Indonesia. The physical parameters evaluated include temperature and humidity according both ASHRAE-55-2010 National SNI 03-6572-2001 standards on conditions. air conditioning system utilized 56-ton refrigeration air-cooled chiller with natural refrigerant R290 was equipped watersides sensors data acquisitions. A simulation airflow distribution also developed. Experimental measurement using automatic loggers performed on-air dry-bulb inside during events empty full-capacity audiences. results are compared standards. simulations resulted average difference 12.7% obtained from experimental data. According provided, auditorium’s can maintain cooling load 52.4% COP 4.34. result shows that sustain thermally comfortable indoor environment about hour recovery time. environmentally friendly very low GWP building systems provide energy-efficient solutions.
